After decades of assisting firms migrate to the cloud, we have become experts at recognizing common repeating patterns that consistently thwart enterprise endeavors for cloud migration. We were not the only ones who discovered, the hard way, the need for uniform and controlled methods. While at first there was little to no methodology available, the team at Amazon recognized the need for a uniform best-practice set of rules. Created by the brightest minds in the industry and supported by years of experience the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) was developed to provide a blueprint on how to successfully complete a journey to the cloud.

At DFX5 we have adopted the CAF and improved its methodology by adding industry specific rules and metrics that enable a more customizable journey to the cloud. We design and implement recommended activities, steps, and overall process to become a cloud-native organization. We have served clients in the financial, retail, and hospitality industry with strict compliance standards, with novel cloud initiatives for automation, migration, user access, and cloud governance. Even though our proprietary methodology tries to capture all potential scenarios, there are sometimes some residual inconveniencies, which come from the natural characteristic of moving technological resources. To mitigate this risk and avoid the nuisance from becoming a potential issue, we developed a proprietary tailored cloud journey framework.
